High-level Dialogue on Implementing Rio+20 Decisions on Sustainable Cities and Transport

We are planning together with the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) a conference about sustainable transport. The conference will take place on the EUREF-Campus in Berlin one year after the Rio +20 conference from the 19th to the 21st of June.

We are discussing with city representatives, politicians and industry partners about good practice and planning, interesting products and services as well as a supportive framework for sustainable transport solutions. In this context a high level working group of the UN is working out suggestions for a possible role of the UN in the field of sustainable transport. The Berlin High-level Dialogue on Implementing Rio+20 decisions on Sustainable Cities and Transport will discuss successful approaches to urban planning and transport policies and measures, identify good and best practices, and facilitate capacity building and national and international exchanges of experiences among leading decision makers, experts and practitioners, in particular also from developing countries.

Founded in 2005 InnoZ is specialized in qualitative and quantitative research in transport, mobility and related areas. We generate a wide range of methodological profound market and environmental analyses, furthermore forecasts covering the complex interactions between mobility and societal change. We are proud and pleased to be co-organizing this conference and hope that we can be a valuable partner to the UN for working out its positions in the field of sustainable transport and sustainable cities in this conference. Other important co-organizers are United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN Habitat), the United Nations Office for Partnerships, the Initiative ICLEI - Local Governments for Sustainability, the Global Forum on Human Settlements (GFHS), the German Federal Environmental Agency and the GIZ - Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit.
