Against the backdrop of societal trends and current developments on the mobility market, we connect key players from industry, research, and government in order to pioneer mobility solutions at the intersection of transport, energy, and informations and communications technology (ICT).
The Innovation Centre for Mobility and Societal Change (Innovationszentrum für Mobilität und gesellschaftlichen Wandel, InnoZ) integrates potential end users into both the development and the testing of prototypes under real-life conditions. We transfer our findings and insights to our partners and incorporate innovative solutions into our clients’ everyday operations and/or their market entry.
Our ‘Platform Connected Mobility’ contextualises and explains all levels of the knowledge value chain to our guests with the help of models and demonstrators. Forums, workshops, and symposia promote academic exchange. Our publications, along with our executive and continuing education courses, allow research to feed into practice.
Our interdisciplinary team makes all of this possible. We are social scientists, economists, transport researchers, engineers, designers, and geographers. Our systemic and cooperative approach– in-house as well as with our partners – is one of our core strengths.
InnoZ is located on the EUREF Campus in central Berlin, where the vision of tomorrow’s ‘intelligent city’ is already being developed and implemented. Ecologically and economically sustainable solutions make the office and research campus a one-of-a-kind hub for innovation and future-oriented projects –unique in both Berlin and Europe. With our research projects and our ‘Platform Connected Mobility’ as a living lab, learning centre and forum, we play a key role in the campus-wide initiatives. In 2013, InnoZ was awarded the ‘Landmark in the Land of Ideas’ Prize by the Federal German Government and the Federation of German Industries for its commitment to sustainability and innovation.
